A man from Gwalior beats a dog with an iron rod and cuts it to pieces in revenge for disfiguring his son’s face, reserved

A man has been sentenced for mercilessly breaking the bones of a stray dog ​​and cutting them to pieces in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

The man, convicted under section 429 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 11 (1) (a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act 1960, was sentenced to was filmed and the video went viral.

After learning that the man allegedly killed a dog in the community by repeatedly hitting the animal with a rod and then slowly slicing its leg with a knife, Meet Ashar of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India worked with Priyanshu Jain of People For Animals (PFA) Indore, local activist Chhaya Tomar and Gwalior Police to record a first information report under section 429 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 11 (1) (a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA)) Act 1960.

“PETA India commends the police in Gwalior for taking action to send the message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated,” said Ashar, associate director of PETA India’s emergency response team. “As those who mistreat animals often begin to harm humans, it is imperative that the public report cases of animal cruelty like this for everyone’s safety. “

“We have never encountered such a heinous act of cruelty in Madhya Pradesh. The accused needs a mental assessment and advice. Cases like these mean the need for tougher animal abuse laws, ”said PFA Indore President Jain.

PETA India also recommended that the man undergo a psychiatric assessment and receive counseling, as animal abuse indicates deep psychological disorder. Research shows that people who commit acts of cruelty to animals are often repeat offenders who start hurting other animals, including humans.

Police said the man was taking revenge because the dog disfigured his son’s face by biting him. The video is said to be a month and a half old.

Residents claimed the man had vowed revenge after the incident and that one day he found the dog behind a school and mercilessly beat the dog, crippling it. He then began to cut up the animal.

Some residents saw the horrific incident on their cell phones and complained to the police.
