Low cost rabies clinic to be held in Fitchburg on Saturday – Sentinel and Enterprise
FITCHBURG – Be PAWsitive Therapy Pets and Friends of Fitchburg DOGS Inc. will be hosting a low cost rabies vaccination clinic with Second Chance Animal Services on Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon at the Fitchburg Fire Department, 33 North St., according to an announcement from the two organizations.
Prepayment and pre-registration are required due to COVID-19 social distancing protocols. Although Second Chance keeps its phone line open for emergencies, for this clinic, registration is available by phone for those who do not have Internet access. Additional charges of $ 5 will apply. NO walk-in will be allowed, according to the announcement.
Visit www.secondchanceanimalservices to register and prepay for these services ($ 15 for rabies and distemper / parvo, $ 20 for the microchip). To comply with social distancing restrictions, pet owners will need to pre-register online for a specific date / location.
Those who pre-register will receive an email with your arrival time slot and groups ask you to plan to arrive no earlier than five minutes in advance. Time slots will be limited, pet owners will therefore be available for the entire clinic registration period.
No reimbursement will be possible, so in case of inability to attend, the registration fee will be considered as a donation.
Services include: rabies, distemper (FVRCP and DA2PP) and microchips. Pet owners will stay outside and staff will bring your pet inside for vaccines / chip. This allows groups to free up more time slots for all pets that need to update their vaccines.
