The most popular dog breeds in the UK have been revealed by region. Do you own one of the most popular pooches?
Dogs are a family, from unique mixed breeds to chic purebreds, but there are trends in ownership as well.
In Liverpool, a surprise underdog came in first.
Popular breeds that surprisingly didn’t make the cut include the Labrador, voted the UK’s most beloved dog, the Dachshund, the King Cavalier and the Pomeranian.

Cockapoos have many brilliant characteristics, they are intelligent, attentive and generally friendly with people and other animals. They are also gentle and loyal.
Frenchies are a popular companion for many reasons, they are small with huge personalities and can adapt to any home life, and although walks are necessary, they don’t need much care. exercise (they will probably burn a lot of energy with how much they play!) Fun to train and social animals, they make an excellent choice.
Although they play by their own rules and patience is needed when training, it is well worth the effort as this breed is excellent with other dogs and children.
