Walk’n Wag, the Eastside’s biggest animal-centric event is back! Dogs, dog friends and spectators are invited to the 6th Annual Walk’n Wag at Sammamish Lake State Park on Sunday, October 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is presented by Alpine Animal Hospital.

The event kicks off with a “2 mile walk in the park” benefiting the Friends of Sammamish Lake State Park. After the walk, participants are invited to take part in the Pet Show, try an agility class, learn about obedience training, and enjoy a beer with live music from Sweet Lou’s Sour Mash in our Dru Bru Beer Garden.

Pet show categories include Best Outfit, Best Voice, Smallest Dog, Best Eyes, Dog & Owner Lookalike, and Best Ride. Register at www.lakesammamishfriends.org/events

Vendors will be set up in the Doggie Village to share information, services and gifts with pet owners. Dog-less walkers are also welcome to visit Doggie Village. Michael’s Subaru of Bellevue will partner with the Homeward Pet Adoption Center for Subaru Loves Pets Month to provide information on adoptions. Most of Walk’n Wag’s attractions are free and open to the public.

Early registration for the 3K or Pet Show is $ 15 for adults, $ 10 for children 15 and under, and FREE for children under 5. To register, visit lakesammamishfriends.org. Registration will also be available during the event.

All proceeds will go towards trail improvements and beautification projects at Lake Sammamish State Park.
